No Surcharge Guarantee
We have a No Surcharge Guarantee on all Land Only and Flight Inclusive holidays. This means that there will be no change to the price of your holiday once we have confirmed your booking, regardless of fluctuations in exchange rates or fuel prices.
Loyalty discounts
If you have previously travelled with Mountain Kingdoms, as a past client you are eligible for a discount of £75 per person on our group holidays, Private Departures, or Tailor Made holidays. This discount offer excludes any holidays booked in Europe, Morocco and the Middle East.

We feel strongly that all our holidays should benefit local communities, protect the environment by minimising pollution and respect local traditions, religion and heritage. Value for money prices with an emphasis on quality
We are not in the business of cutting our itineraries and services to the bone to offer eye-catching cheap prices. Our well thought out trips do, however, offer fantastic value for money. We use some of the best airlines, and typically 3 or 4 star hotels in main cities. We include the majority of meals and use private transport for road travel. Financial security
The air inclusive holidays we arrange are ATOL protected (ATOL number 2973) providing either the person who pays for the booking is present in the UK when the booking is made or the first leg of any flight or flights we arrange for you commences in the UK. Small group travel
For the vast majority of our holidays, we have a maximum group size of only 12, plus leader. This provides more contact with your leader, readier access to off-the-beaten-path areas, greater interaction with local communities and a reduced environmental impact. A small number of our treks have a maximum number lower than 12.

When you ring Mountain Kingdoms you speak to a well travelled individual. We don't have a 'sales force' as such, instead you will be looked after by one of our team who has a direct knowledge of the region you are interested in. This ensures that we can speak from experience, offering first hand knowledge and personal insight whether you want to know what's on the breakfast menu, the best spot to take your photos or how many thermal vests to pack!
Mountain Kingdoms was formed back in October 1987 as Himalayan Kingdoms, when two mountaineering friends, Steve Berry and Steve Bell rejected conventional careers to make a living from the love of their life - the greatest mountain range in the world. The reputation of the company as the Himalayan, trekking, touring and mountaineering specialist quickly grew, and in 1993, Himalayan Kingdoms were the first British company to guide Everest, putting seven paying clients, six Sherpas and two guides on the summit.
In 1995, the company separated, with Steve Bell moving the mountaineering side of the business to Sheffield, which continued to operate as Himalayan Kingdoms Expeditions until 1999 when its new name, Jagged Globe, was slowly phased in. The two companies continue to have close, friendly ties. With Steve Berry at the helm, Himalayan Kingdoms continued to grow, pioneering new and exciting trekking routes, initially across the Himalaya, and then gradually beyond into the other great mountain ranges of the world: Europe, South East Asia, Central Asia, the Americas and, most recently, the Middle East and Africa. Finally, in 2008, Himalayan Kingdoms became Mountain Kingdoms to better reflect the holiday destinations we offer which span the world.
Today, Mountain Kingdoms offers an extensive range of cultural tours, treks, walking holidays, adventure cruises and even a cycling tour or two. We still pioneer off-the-beaten-track camping or tea house treks but also cater for those who prefer their walks at a gentler pace with lots of sightseeing and comfortable hotel accommodation. For virtually all the destinations we visit we offer small group departures with a maximum group size of 12 but we can also tailor make holidays for individuals, couples and private groups.
