Amazing trip of a lifetime
I had an amazing trip of a lifetime which was fantastically organised. The routes and free days were superbly balanced which was geared to getting us to almost the top of the world. Mountain Kingdoms' route scored head and shoulders above its competitors, we loved going to Thame and Khunde. Nima, our guide, was superb; patient and very attentive.
Magnificent mountains
Everything was so well organised that we were able to relax and enjoy the magnificent mountains and the Nepalese countryside, only having to focus on the physical exertion of the trek, knowing that food, water, accommodation etc. was all under control. The guides and porters did their jobs superbly.
Scenery was superb
The scenery was superb, and the pace of the trek was well managed. The friendly response to queries beforehand by MK staff was also excellent.
Everest Base Camp & Gokyo Lakes
The organisation of the trip from beginning to end was outstanding. From the moment we were met in Nepal we never had to lift our bags again and they miraculously appeared in our room every day. The trekking staff were excellent, very attentive and always ready to lend a reassuring helping hand on any tricky bits. The right pace was set by our excellent leader with lots of rest stops. As the oldest couple in our group we never felt under pressure.
Fantastic holiday
A fantastic holiday. Service and organisation both before and during the trek were first class. Our Sherpas also spoke highly of your company and said that it was one of the few that actually looked after the needs of porters.
Everest Base Camp & Gokyo Lakes
It was an amazing trip and backed up by a well thought out programme and caring staff help to put the icing on the cake on an amazing trip.
Fantastic experience
Everything was organised fantastically well - all I had to do for the entire trip was get up and walk. I will definitely be booking another trip with Mountain Kingdoms in the future. Thanks for a fantastic experience that I will never forget.
True wilderness experience
I loved the remoteness of this trip; it felt like a true wilderness experience, and following in a snow leopard's snowy footsteps up to the Ghami La pass was exceptionally memorable.
Beautiful mountains
It was a delight from start to finish - the friendly and curious people, the lovely terraced hillsides from Darchula to Dumlin, then the drama of the Mahakali Gorge, the villages of Tinkar and Chongru, the valleys of Tinkar, Nampa and Api, and especially the beautiful mountains.
Worth the effort - Api Base Camp
These are mountains that do not shout in your face - you have to seek them out, but it is well worth the effort. A wonderful trek.
Annapurna Sanctuary - magnificent
Annapurna Sanctuary is a fantastic trek with memorably magnificent scenery.
Excellently balanced
The trek was excellently balanced and gave the opportunity to experience two different cultures. Guide teams and porters were excellent.
Trip of a lifetime
Thank you for making our dreams come true Ð a trip of a lifetime.
Well looked after
Having travelled with Mountain Kingdoms several times previously, we felt confident that we would be well looked after. The trek crew were very supportive and great fun to be with.
Very well organised
Everything was very well organised - all the pre-trip details; all transfers and briefings; the hotels in Kathmandu and Pokhara; and the whole trekking trip. The guide, Dawa, was good fun and enthusiastic and together with the superb tireless porters made for a wonderful holiday. All the 'extras' - morning tea, washing water, mid-morning tea, snacks, 4pm tea, biscuits, etc. - were things no other groups we met experienced. A huge 'thank you' to you all.
Memorable experience
What we have done is just beginning to sink in. It was a memorable experience - and a really good holiday and also quite an achievement for us. Our extension days in Pokhara and Kathmandu were really enjoyable and we were greatly assisted in Kathmandu by your local agents in Kathmandu who helped us with extra day trips which were greatly enhanced by perfect weather.
Great value for money
Inclusive nature of holiday on trek with no need to worry about paying bills or having change. Attention to detail (bucket of water, towel and soap for handwashing which I've only seen on camping treks before). Supplementary fresh foods and map also included. Not having to fit sleeping bag into kitbag. Good interesting choice of route.
Well-paced route - Annapurna Circuit
I enjoyed everything about travelling with MK. A group of 12 people, diverse in age and background with a common purpose. A trek leader with attention to detail, encyclopaedic local knowledge and experience and a sense of humour. A well planned and well-paced route.
Good accommodation
Felt personal, friendly, both with MK and team in Pokhara. You really do get the best accommodation available, by the leader sending a runner - well done. Little touches such as the gingham bedsheet, the amazing warm fleecy sleeping bag liner (I never got cold), and the snacks carried throughout the trek.
Best trek I've ever been on - Annapurna Sanctuary
Annapurna Sanctuary is the best trek I've ever been on - amazing scenery, superb organisation and friendly, competent trek staff.
