Attentive crew
Service on the trek was well thought out - plenty of tea, good lunch stops, tea brought to door in the morning, etc. Guides were very attentive.
Truly memorable experience
Thank you MK for providing the opportunity to fulfil a lifetime ambition to visit the high Himalaya - I can truly say it exceeded all our expectations. The advice and customer care provided by MK staff both in the UK prior to departure and throughout the trek was exceptional and ensured that our trip was a truly memorable experience.
Fell in love with the country
I fell in love with the country and its people and I'm planning to go back in a couple of years' time. What made the trek really special was having local guides. I saw other companies who used European guides and I'm so glad we had local ones. Nima and Bir in particular were outstanding in terms of their hospitality and kindness, and I couldn't recommend them highly enough.
Annapurna and Everest - Fantastic
Lodges were fantastic with hugely friendly staff.
Excellent Sherpas
Very well organised - gave us confidence. Excellent Sherpas who made us feel cared for, friendly office staff, a really good combination of two treks, was ideal for a first visit to Nepal.
Superb!
It was a holiday and experience of a lifetime; I look forward to another trip. Sirdars made the experience extremely interesting with their willingness to share the knowledge about their country. Superb!
We loved it!
Thank you for organising our trip of a lifetime to Nepal - we loved it!
Exceptional - Annapurna and Everest
Ker & Downey lodges were exceptional - excellent food and service and very clean and nicely kept gardens.
Wonderful experience
It was a wonderful experience. I particularly liked the scenery, company, leadership and the friendliness of the Nepali people. The comfort of the en-suite facilities in the lodges were greatly appreciated.
Remarkable holiday in Bhutan
A very special 'thank you' must be extended to our guide and driver. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the range of aspects and adapted the itinerary to our personal wishes and abilities. His English was excellent and at times we had to remember he was Bhutanese. He certainly went out of his way to show us places that might easily have been missed or not strictly on the itinerary. Altogether, a most remarkable and special holiday. Thank you.
Good itinerary Bhutan
A shorter version of our popular Gentle Walking Bhutan, perfect if you are short on time or want to combine your holiday with another destination.
Thunder Dragon Trails - Helpful staff
The pre-trip information and advice was excellent and very comprehensive. MK staff were very helpful and answered all our queries. The arrangements worked flawlessly and the people who met us for transfers to and from our flights were most helpful and efficient.
Mount Chomolhari - great service
Fantastic holiday! What we enjoyed about Mountain Kingdoms was their personal service and their choice of adventure and walking holidays.
Mount Chomolhari - beautiful trek
This was a beautiful trek. The service and trekking staff were very good with just the right mix of trekking and cultural visits.
Mount Chomolhari - ran like clockwork
All the organisation before and during the holiday that MK could control ran like clockwork. The company always seems to attract like-minded people and our trekking group all got on extremely well and were great company.
Highly recommend
I had a lovely time... Best travel company I have ever used...Great customer service, good itinerary, well chosen hotels, good leader and driver. Felt like things had really been thought through. Maximum group number of 12 is good too - we had 9 on our trip and it was a good number. I would highly recommend Mountain Kingdoms - I've travelled with a number of adventure tour operators and you are by far the best on a number of counts - customer service, quality of trip, value for money etc.
Well-organised
The tour was well organised but flexible, sometimes we did something different because there happened to be the opportunity.
Kingdom of Bhutan - a very special place
This was a comprehensive introduction to the very special kingdom of Bhutan. The scenery was fabulous, the people delightful and the entire programme well-packed, well-paced and well-executed by efficient and hard-working staff. Punakha tsechu was great but I also enjoyed all the gompas and especially the really ancient temples. A very special snap-shot in time, long may it last.
Haa Valley - remote and unspoilt
The Haa valley and its surrounding mountains are tight up against the borders of Sikkim and Tibet, and until relatively recent times was off-limits to foreign visitors. I carried out the reconnaissance trek and can say that not only is the Haa valley as beautiful as any of the better known Bhutan valleys, but the mountains that wrap around it are uninhabited, wild, and make for extremely exciting exploration. You may even bump into Bhutanese smugglers who trade illicitly with their neighbours in Tibet! The scenery is fabulous and the sense of being somewhere untouched by the outside world is magnified as it is so unspoilt.
Cycling Tour Bhutan - wonderful experience
Travelling by bicycle in Bhutan was a wonderful experience: the exhilaration of navigating through major road works, to being able to visit Gasa and have a homestay with the Governor of Gasa Province, to the trip to Ugyen Choling.
